Saturday before Christmas managed to do very little. Got up at 11am with hangover from drinking too much night before.
Spent exciting day doing housework (yawn, yawn) - the flat looks like shit; I have become houseworkphobic. Dear Santa
please bring me a live in cleaner and cook for Christmas. Spent an hour talking to my brother mainly moaning about our
mother and trying to arrange an outing to do the family thing over Christmas. My aunty has just arrived with my cousin
who I've never met from South Africa today - I'm trying to pull various members of the family for a family day on 29 December
four generations of the family together which will be nice (this is the ideal I'm sure in practice it will be a fucking nightmare).
My old buddy Arthur is coming home for Christmas from Shanghai - first time we've seen each other for seven years. This
may prove to be the highlight of Christmas for me.
Exciting part of day was buying a DVD player - have no idea where we are going to put it - the front room is overrun with kit
- stereo, cd player, video, tv, ps2 etc etc. the list goes on.
I need a bigger home - sore point. I wonder if the offer we made on that lovely house will come to anything probably not eh?
I'm getting used to the disappointment of not being able to find my own house. How sad nearly 30 and still living in a crap
rented flat in a grim tower block.
Let the present wrapping commence - I need to get all my present wrapped up tonight and put some of the christmas decorations
up - I've already done some nice things with the fairy lights. See yer anon.
